Crash with drunk driver leaves woman fatally injured in New York

Losing a loved one in a fatal accident is one of the most traumatic events that a New York resident can endure. If the death of a loved one is the result of another party’s negligence, families have rights. Sometimes, families may be entitled to pursue legal action against the responsible party. Tragically, a woman was killed in a recent accident in New York involving a drunk driver. The woman, a mother of three, was minutes away from her place of employment when the accident occurred. The accident occurred after a luxury vehicle driven by a doctor struck the driver’s side of the woman’s vehicle. Police said the doctor was intoxicated while driving. He now faces charges related to drunken driving. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital following the crash. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment.

The families of victims who have died in drunk driving accidents can feel a variety of emotions following such a tragedy. Some may be stricken with grief and sorrow, while others may feel outraged that such an injustice occurred.
