Bus accident in Times Square injures 15

After all, it is their job. But these motorists, though they are paid to driver, are just as susceptible to distraction and negligent as others. This means that those who ride mass transit and pedestrians in the vicinity of these vehicles could be at risk of being seriously injured in an accident.

Sadly, one of these accidents occurred recently in Times Square, leaving at least 15 people injured. The wreck occurred when two double-decker buses slammed into each other, with one then careening onto a plaza filled with pedestrians. Three of those hurt suffered serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening. One of the drivers was subsequently tested for intoxicating substances, but was released when those initial tests came back negative. However, authorities are awaiting a full toxicology report.

Those who were harmed in this bus accident, and other mass transit accident victims, never expect to be injured in such a way, and may have a long, hard road ahead of them.
