Tragic New York crash results in death of 9-year-old girl

Anyone who is able to walk away from a multi-vehicle with their lives should be considered lucky. Sadly, not everyone is able to survive such an affair. Multi-vehicle accidents can be devastating and often take place at high speeds and on crowded streets. Oftentimes, the chain reaction begins with the negligent actions of one of the drivers involved. Drivers are expected to exercise the amount of care necessary in order to prevent an accident from occurring. When they fail to do so, they may be held accountable in a court of law.

A tragic three-vehicle accident in New York resulted in the death of a nine-year-old girl, according to reports. Travelling southbound on an avenue in New York, a Honda van struck a Hyundai sedan, along with a Toyota van. The nine-year-old girl was a passenger in the Hyundai sedan. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she succumb to her injuries. Two other occupants in the Hyundai were also taken to the hospital. Their conditions were said to be stable. Three occupants in the Toyota were also hospitalized.

The driver of the Hyundai that crashed into the two vehicles was fleeing the scene of another accident when the three-vehicle crash occurred. The crash occurred after witnesses saw the man’s van speed through a red light. He was arrested at the scene. According to detectives, he had a suspended license. The accident was being investigated.

For some families, filing a wrongful death lawsuit after a fatal accident occurs can be an important step in their emotional recoveries. By alleviating the financial stresses by obtaining compensation, they can focus on healing from the trauma.
