Auto accident causes multiple injuries in New York

When a person is driving, he or she naturally may assume that all other drivers possess the physical and mental capacity to operate their vehicles appropriately and safely. However, sometimes another driver may suddenly lose control of the vehicle for seemingly unknown reasons, thus causing critical injuries or even death as a result of an ensuing auto accident. Police said that an accident recently occurred as a construction truck was leaving the Major Deegan Expressway. He apparently lost control of the large vehicle as a result of a medical problem, officials. His automobile ended up striking several cars at a stoplight.
Thereafter, the driver’s truck crashed into a three-story Bronx building. Four people suffered injuries as a result of the wreck, two of them seriously. Reportedly, the impact was so strong that the front wall of the building collapsed.
The driver who is deemed to have caused the multi-vehicle crash could face legal claims for financial liability in connection with the injuries sustained in the accident. Moreover, the man’s employer could be joined as a defendant in any personal injury lawsuit that is commenced. If it is established in a New York civil court that the driver ended up being distracted as a result of his medical issue and/or failed to take reasonable precautions to prevent such an incident, he could be found financially responsible for the auto accident.
